Does it record my phone calls?
It transcribes whatever your microphone can hear, live. A web page on a phone can't capture the audio of that phone's own call (iPhone and Android don't allow it), so for phone calls put the call on speaker next to a second device running CallNotes, or run the call on a computer. In-person meetings and listing presentations work directly on a phone.
Do I have to tell people I'm transcribing?
In many places, yes - the law on recording and transcribing conversations varies, and you are responsible for getting any consent it requires before you start.
Who can see my transcripts?
They're saved to your account and shown only to you when you're signed in. To do its job, the audio is sent to Deepgram to be transcribed and the transcript is sent to Anthropic's Claude to write the notes.
Which devices does it work on?
Any modern browser on a computer, iPhone, iPad or Android - there is nothing to install. You can add it to your home screen.
Can I cancel?
Any time. Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, and you keep what you've paid for until the end of the period.
